The Newest Members of the Family!

The last few days have been exciting ones in the Eldridge household. We are now the proud parents of two Welsh Corgi's named Buck and Bella. Buck is about 12 weeks old and a told Momma's and Daddy's boy. He is always following close behind and would prefer to spend his time just being held by one of his parents unless there is food around!

Buck's new best friend is Bella. Bella is exactly 2 months and 2 days old. I know this because she was born on our wedding day! She has the look of an angel but is quite fiesty! She makes sure that Buck is on his toes pretty much constantly! She is also very selfish and enjoys laying on top of Bucks toys while hording her's so that he gets nothing. Its kind of funny but we're trying to teach her that she has to share!

Overall, they are keeping us very busy, but it is definitely worth it! They are so much fun to be with even when they're naughty! We are thrilled to have them as the newest additions in our little family!

THE BAND!!!!

Well since the wedding our life has definitely become more and more about one thing: The Band! We've become pretty much consumed by it (of course John more than myself). Although it can get to be a lot, I have to admit I am starting to enjoy it more. You can't really tell how much they enjoy it from this serious picture! As I said in my previous blog, the band has changed a lot from what most of you have probably heard. This summer they have moved from the acoustic project to a full band. The electric guitars drove me nuts at first, but they are alot of fun to listen to at shows! John's brother, Dylan has now joined the band too, and its been a ton of fun having him around more often.

This past weekend the band performed 4 times in 3 days. A three hour show thrusday night, two shows friday, and one saturday. We had a lot of fun Friday night as the boys played in Brookings. It was great to get to have some of the family come listen to them play. It also gave us a good chance to get to visit home! With most the shows being in Sioux Falls, its getting harder and harder to make it up to Volga. Overall it's turning out to be quite a lot of fun and its great watching John pursue his dreams!

What a Summer!

What a summer it has been! John and I were married on July 20th. The day was beautiful and I have to say we looked pretty good ourselves. Everyone had a great time and it was so wonderful to be surrounded by all of our family and friends! It couldn't have been better! We spent our honeymoon in Minneapolis and at the lake!

Now we are back to the real world and as busy as ever! I'm still working at Austad's Golf and will be here for 2 more weeks before returning to school. John is still working as a nanny (he hates that term) for a few more weeks as well.

John's band, First Random Thought, is doing great! They practice a ton and have several concerts each week. They often play acoustic shows at coffee shops but are now making the switch to full band! In the next few weeks they'll be playing at the Sioux Empire fair as well as many other venues in the area!
